Over the years I’ve come to appreciate simplicity in design. Picasso. Frank Lloyd Wright. Bauhaus. So I like the idea of graphic primitives, and how they can work together to suggest something far more complex. I’ve seen the idea of a simple curve to represent a guitar just about everywhere, but I’ve never seen the guitar’s soundhole double as a microphone ball. This one came together without so much as a concept sketch – we did all the work within Illustrator.
