We created this logo for a teenage guitar phenom and his band. Because it’s a trio, and they frequently refer to themselves as MDB, we thought the abbreviation would make a strong visual statement, and allow us to key in on each letter as an iconic representation of a band member. The headstocks from Fender guitars are pretty iconic themselves, and so we found that this worked to define the negative space in the letters. Add some drumsticks for the “B” and we have a distinctive logotype.
