Adobe’s Flash tool can be used for a lot more than just creating web animation. Television, for instance. We used Flash as a development platform to create TV commercials, without the need for expensive, dedicated CGI computers and high-end applications. In fact, this spot was created on a single computer, using just Flash, FreeHand, and Sony’s ACID Pro application for building audio from stock loops. The client at first believed this was a national spot we’d licensed instead of one that we had produced locally. It was so effective that they asked us to modify the sales info, allowing them to rerun the spot several times over the course of two years.
