Here’s the deal. There are a lot of companies out there who will take your money and build websites, write and produce commercials, design flyers, and tell you that they are the be-all, end-all when it comes to marketing.

Some of them even know what they are talking about.

But let’s get real, shall we? There are a lot of metrics you can use when it comes time to pick a marketing company. The number of awards one seems to be a fave of the marketing companies. Or client lists – the bigger, the better. And you can also watch some very nice dog-n’-pony shows that can and will blow you away. Newsflash: not one of those metrics matter. There’s only one that really counts. And we bet you already know what it is. Let me save you the guesswork: “Can you create something that will increase my sales and/or market visibility without it costing me more than what I’ll make after you’re done?” That’s it. Pretty simple. And none of the Clios, Addys, or Webbies will change that. Nor will client lists or dog-n’-pony shows. Nope. Just results.

Marketing is actually a deceptively simple thing. It boils down to story-telling. You have a story. We know how to tell it so it reaches more people than you can on your own. And we know how to tell it in such a way as to get people to both listen and respond. Fortunately (for us) that’s kind of like saying “…and then, a miracle occurs,” for if it were that simple, you wouldn’t need us to help you.

So why “Novel Idea,” and not one of the million and six other marketing firms out there? Simple. We produce results. We don’t worry about ad competitions. We don’t go around issuing press releases about this ‘get’ or another when it comes to clients. And we’re not into dog-n’-pony shows. We like to focus on getting you the biggest bang for your buck.
